Finding a Balance: Handstands, Pistols and Restoration.


Join Axistence Instructor and former NCAA gymnast, Kylie Shields as she breakdowns the skills and drills you can use to become better acquainted with the mystical creatures that are handstands and pistols. Her focus will be to utilize research and experience to address educational and best practice tips for all levels. Depending upon your current level, she will help you:
-  Be more confident kicking up
-  Become oriented with being upside down
-  Nail the handstand walk
-  Be more comfortable with balance and positioning of the pistol
-  Complete the pistol movement
-  Complete the pistol movement with a kettlebell above and below

This 90-minute opportunity will also include restorative and recovery exercises. This class will lay a foundation that will both add depth as well as enjoyment to your workout and life goals regarding handstands and pistols.




ABOUT KYLIE SHIELDS:

A graduate of Auburn University, Kylie has spent her entire life within the realm of  fitness. She started at a young age in gymnastics and followed her passion through collegiate competition and coaching. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga instructor and currently pursuing a Master's in Sport & Performance Psychology through University of Denver. We are extremely happy to have her on staff at Axistence Athletics.
